<p>The year 4 children from&nbsp;enjoyed a range of archery games followed by a tour of the historic Mount Batten Tower.</p>

<p>The trip was organised as part of Plymouth Sound National Marine Park&rsquo;s flagship education programme, &lsquo;Sea in Our School&rsquo;. The project focusses on building connections to Plymouth Sound National Marine Park while supporting curriculum development at participating schools.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The <a href="https://mount-batten-centre.com/">Mount Batten Water Sports</a> and Activities Centre is currently undergoing a revamp as part of the &pound;22million Plymouth Sound National Marine Park transformation.</p>

<p><strong>Jacqueline Stephens, Executive Headteacher at Drake Primary Academy, said:</strong></p>

<p><em>&ldquo;At Drake Primary, we are great believers in taking learning beyond the classroom. Experiences like this are perfect for finding new ways to engage pupils. Our year 4s had a great time learning how to use a bow and arrow and picked up some interesting local history knowledge at the same time.&rdquo;</em></p>
